Not so long ago, LG announced the LG EGO Wi-Fi model, a budget device that has no chance to make a hall in your budget. But as you can already imagine, we can’t talk about performance and real entertainment either.
Let’s start by telling you that LG EGO Wi-Fi is compatible with 02G GSM 850 / 900 / 1800 / 1900, 3G HSDPA 850 / 1900 / 2100 networks. About the touchscreen, you have to know that it’s an LCD type, having a total dimension of no less than 2.8 inches, but we can’t provide you any other information about its maximum resolution or the total amount of colors that it’s able to display. About the connectivity, there’s the same story, we can give you details about a very limited list including only Bluetooth, Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g, or microUSB.
And the 2 megapixels camera with features such as Digital zoom, Self-timer is another disappointment, not to mention the Slot for microSD memory card that supports only up to 4Gb. When it comes to the autonomy aspect, thing aren’t great at all as long as its Li-Ion battery is able to provide no more than 3 hours of talk time or only 300 hours of standby time. And the Phonebook has a limited capacity, including only a few usual features: Caller groups, Multiple numbers per contact, Picture ID, Ring ID.
With everything I said, it’s hard to believe that we might find something interesting about this phone. But let’s not forget that it offers access to social networks such as Facebook, MySpace, or Twitter; that it includes Music Player, Video Playback, or FM Radio, or that its dimensions are more than acceptable. Because LG EGO Wi-Fi measures no more than 4.17 x 2.28 x 0.47 (106 x 58 x 12 mm), with a total weight of 3.03 oz (86 g), so it fits just perfectly into your pocket. Although it’s already available, we still don’t have the price information, but we’ll keep you update it.
