Nokia C2-03 – a 2G-only phone

We all found out about Nokia’s decision to refresh its C2 lineup with new affordable Series 40 handsets. And today we are going to talk about the Nokia C2-03 model, that it will be released in the 3rd quarter of 2011, for a price of no more than 105 $.

You are probably very curious about its technical features, so we must tell you from the start the fact that there isn’t any information about its processing power. But what we know for sure is that it has a 2.6 inches TFT Resistive touchscreen offering a maximum resolution of 240 x 320 pixels and a displaying capability of 65 k colors, as well as a total amount of 10 MB internal storage capacity. In the package you’ll also find 2 GB micro SD card included and if you want even more, you can extend the memory up to its maximum capacity of 32 GB. As long as we are talking about a budget device, it is equipped with a 2 megapixels camera, including features such as Digital zoom, White balance, Self-timer, as well as the video capture ability of 176 x 144 pixels 15 fps.

And it can also take pictures at a maximum resolution of 1600×1200 pixels, but you must forget all about a secondary front-facing camera which wasn’t included. The connectivity options don’t have GPS or 3G either, but in this list we can find Bluetooth 2.1 with A2DP & Micro USB 2.0, 3.5mm stereo headset jack, Stereo FM radio with RDS or FM Transmitter. When it comes to the phonebook’s capacity, we must tell you that it’s limited to only 1000 entries, but it includes features such as Caller groups, Multiple numbers per contact, Picture ID, or Ring ID. And the messaging option doesn’t include only SMS, but E-mail too – IMAP, POP3, SMTP, or Push e-mail.

We also have to mention that it comes equipped with Easy Swap feature for the dual-SIM functionality and its Li-Ion 1020mAh BL-5C Standard battery offers up to 400 hours of standby time, only up to 5 hours of talk time and up to 37 hours of music playback time. The portability is one of the most important aspect and in this case, a very successful one as long as this Nokia C2-03 model has the exact dimensions of 103 x 51.4 x 17 mm and a total weight of no more than 118 grams. So you can only imagine that it fits just perfectly in your pocket.
