We are going to present you a phone that wasn’t created to impress you or require a lot of money. The first Android messenger by Samsung, Samsung Galaxy Pro B7510 looks more like a decent and affordable device which includes most of the features you could expect.
As long as we mentioned from the start its special purpose, we must tell you that the ARMv6 processor at 800 MHz frequency is the best option. But the 2.8 inches TFT capacitive touchscreen having a maximum resolution of 240 x 320 pixels QVGA and a displaying capability of no less than 256 K colors limits the choice of apps. Accelerometer and proximity sensor are also included, as well as Stereo FM radio with RDS or a GPS receiver. And it offers up to 380 minutes of talk-time or up to 430 hours of stand by time.
We must tell you that it doesn’t include a camera flash, so you must forget about night shots, not to mention the lack of a dedicated camera button. But despite all of these negative aspects, its 3.15 megapixels camera is equipped with auto focus offering some quality photos for a messenger device. The connectivity package offers various options such as Wi-Fi (b/g/n), Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP support and USB v2.0. And if you need guidance, the Google Maps option is the most appropriate, but we must warn you that the Navigation function is limited though, based on Internet connection. We can also find of course a proper OS – Android Froyo, although we would prefer the Android 2.3 Gingerbread version.
We also know that it doesn’t pack much internal memory – only 133MB, but the problem can be easily solved as long as there is a micro SD card slot for memory expansion up to 32 GB. The worst part comes from some other aspects that really disappoint us. Let’s take for example the QVGA-only video recording ability or the lack of some very important features – Adobe Flash support in the browser, ambient light sensor, a secondary video-call camera, a dedicated video player app, not to mention the fact that you must forget about gaming.
