HTC Omega – a Windows Phone 7 smartphone

HTC Omega is the HTC’s first Windows Phone 7 Mango device scheduled for this autumn. We know that it’s pretty early for all the details or some solid pictures, but you won’t be disappointed at all by what we know so far.

Rumors suggest that it will have Qualcomm Snapdragon MSM8255 CPU which runs at 1.5 GHz frequency, not to mention the Windows Phone 7 Mango OS. Another pleasant surprise is its 3.8″ SLCD display, which comes with a total of 3.8 inches diagonal. And let’s not forget the fact that it has a maximum resolution of no less than 800 x 480 pixels WVGA, a displaying ability of 16 million colors; as well as the accelerometer sensor for UI auto-rotate, the proximity sensor for auto turn-off, the predictive text input and pinch to zoom.

When it comes to its camera, things are just great. This smarthpone comes equipped with an 8 megapixels sensor, including features such as: Auto focus, Geo tagging or LED flash, offering pictures which can reach a maximum resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels. Its video recording capability is made at 720p (1280 x 720 pixels) HD resolution, but surprisingly, we have no details about an additional camera. As for the connectivity, HTC Omega comes with the usual elements for all your navigational needs such as: Bluetooth module version v2.1 with A2DP, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS, v2.0 micro USB, as well as 3.5 mm stereo headset jack.

The Music Player supports MP3 and features: Album art cover, Preset equalizer; the Video Playback and the YouTube player are also included for your entertainment, and let’s not forget about the total amount of 16 GB internal storage capacity, as long as no micro SD card slot for memory expansion is provided. The details about autonomy, price or its dimensions and weight are unknown at this moment, nut we’ll keep you updated.
